Arleen -- a former high school Visual Arts teacher -- has been painting fulltime for the past eight years. During that time, she has exhibited her work in a number of private and public galleries in the Toronto area.
Many of Arleen’s paintings are inspired by nature; they encourage the viewer to observe, reflect and respond emotionally. Others are inspired by current events and issues; they aim to both inform and challenge.
Arleen particularly enjoys working on large-scale abstract compositions, using both oils and acrylics. Recently, she has completed several experimental pieces that incorporate mixed media.
